The 129th Mackenzie A&P Highland Show - 29 March 2027
The Mackenzie A&P Highland Show is the largest one day Show in New Zealand with 12-15,000 through the gates. The Mackenzie A&P Highland Show will be held on Easter Monday, the 29th of March 2027 at the Mackenzie A&P Showgrounds in Fairlie. Gates open at 8am.

For Dog Owners
The Mackenzie Show has updated their rules concerning dogs on the grounds… the rule is now NO DOGS unless they are entered in a competition or they are a guide/assistance dog. We realise this will be sad news for many dog owners. The owner of all permitted dogs entering the show-grounds must be able to produce a dosing certificate. This is to show the dog has been dosed for sheep measles This dose must be given a minimum of 24 hours before arrival.

Invitation for Show helpers
The Show Committee would like to extend an open invitation for Show helpers. This doesn’t mean you have to ‘join’ the Committee (though you are more than welcome to) but with an ageing Committee, we can definitely use always use more helpers for setting up, taking down and on the day. Please consider putting your hand up and contacting me.
